I’ve always wanted to visit Colorado, so I decided to do a little research and find out how to travel cheap and get some great deals in this beautiful state.
First, why would you want to visit this state anyway? Well, Colorado has more acres of skiing and snowboarding than any other state in the United States.
Money-saving ski and snowboard coupons are available online for discounts to Vail, which has over 1300 acres of trails. The Vail ski resort is amazing and has any and everything you can imagine even if you are not planning to ski or snowboard. They also have a dance theater, climbing walls, music concerts, a symphony, and tons of gourmet restaurants.
If you are into wine, coupons are also available online for Grand Valley, which is on Colorado’s western slope, and which is home to an astounding amount of grape acreage. Who would have guessed? I originally had always thought of California as the place for growing grapes for wine. The Grand Valley also has more great opportunities for those of you who do not ski because you can go horseback riding, mountain biking, rock climbing, or even kayaking. And check out the Wild Horse Range further north.
How to travel cheap to these areas? Hit the Internet for online coupons. Type in your destination plus “coupon” or “travel deal” and you will find a slew of them.
Affordable hotels and lodging can be found in Aspen, which is one of the top 10 honeymoon destinations in the country. In downtown you can see the historic landmark, Independence Square. The accommodations at the Indy (all suites) offer fantastic rates for the location.
So if you are wanting to vacation in gorgeous Colorado and wonder how to travel cheap, use these tips to jump start your vacation planning. Ski lifts are often within walking distances of hotels, and are ready to whisk you up to ski nirvana.

How to Travel Cheap – Travel to Colorado
March 9th, 2010Getting Cheap Passport Photos and Other Travel Documents
January 22nd, 2010
Many folks go to the post office to get their passport photos taken and to have it sent off to the government for renewal but what most don’t realize is that passport photos can be taken on the cheap. There are local passport photographers who may not specialize in taking passport photos but are extremely well versed in the proper size and shapes and lighting to get it done.
So what some folks might pay at the post office, they would save half that money by going to a photographer. It is also possible to take pictures yourself to be sent off for passport approval. They would likely be approved so long as they match the dimensions as prescribed by your passport but the problem always arises that if the lighting is bad, you may need to resubmit.
There are many rules out there on passports recently due to heightened security.
Travel documents, such as Visas, may be required to have if you choose to go to a foreign country that requires it. All travelers are requested to check with the state department to learn about the dangers of traveling to a foreign country, the necessary documents. etc. Some folks may request this service from a travel agency or with the agency that is booking their trip but it is not necessary. If it can be done by oneself for no cost, then all passengers are requested to do that.
In case your passport is lost or stolen overseas, it will become imperative that you have a copy of your passport wherever you go. You could, and should, photocopy it and even digitally scan it for safekeeping.

How To Travel Cheap – Travel On A Budget To Niagara Falls
January 2nd, 2010
One of the most amazing places I have ever visited was Niagara Falls. Here are some tips on how to travel cheap to this spectacular place.
Niagara Falls is a favorite vacation destination for the whole family, and is also very popular as a honeymoon destination. When booking your room at the hotel, consider a package deal when making your reservations. Ask if there is anything available that includes the room plus such amenities as spa, boat rides, public transportation, or free meals. You can often save money with a package deal such as this rather than buying everything separately.
Book your flight on a weekday. Weekend air travel will be costlier.
On a budget, stay on the American side. Hotel rates are usually cheaper on this side than on the Canadian side. You will still find plenty to do and see, and you will save a few dollars at the less expensive hotels.
How to travel cheap as far as meals? Try to find local cafes and diners for your breakfast and lunch, and if you have money leftover then go ahead and splurge for dinner.
Keep your trip on the short side, 3 or 4 days, to avoid spending too much money.
Purchase a Niagara USA Discovery Pass which includes The Cave of the Winds, The Maid of the Mist, Niagara Adventure Theater, Gorge Discovery Center, Aquarium of Niagara, and Scenic Trolley. In addition, you will also receive discount coupons to regional attractions including Top of the Falls Restaurant, Old Fort, Artpark, Frank Lloyd Wright, Erie Canal Cruises, the wax museum, and fashion outlets.
Don’t forget to look for money-saving coupons on the Internet.
If you use these tips on how to travel cheap, you can save a little money and also have an amazing vacation at one of the world’s most spectacular travel destinations.
